Teen Hackers love Abraham Lincoln and his Midcentury Design created by Danny Fuller who has the Cure for Fear

NL Notes: We're hoping this volume of New Library is as jarringly eclectic for you as it is for us. **We're big time digging the blog, Where They Create - a photographer's love letter to creators and their amazing workspaces, documenting everyone from Seth Godin to Keiji Ashizawa. Do you take vitamins? LabDoor is a website that grades the quality of specific brands/supplements.   While we're openly welcoming the warm weather, we'd be happy to stay in the cold if we could hang out in this library in the middle of the woods in upstate New York.

March 4, 1865: Abraham Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address
We believe that looking back at history plays an integral role in creating a well-rounded perspective on the present. Just over a month after this address, Lincoln was assassinated. It came near the end of the Civil War and played a pivotal role as the first major public address to attempt to heal the deep wounds of the United States at the time. At only 701 words, it's been hailed as one of the most effective speeches in history.

Why the World is Obsessed with Midcentury Design
Interior design has been overwrought with Midcentury furniture. You'll know what we're talking about when you click the link, if you're not already saving up for that Eames lounge chair.  Bolstered by the machines that are pinterest and instagram, it's an aesthetic and design trend perpetuating via chic AirBnB rentals and mid-century cloned Ikea furniture.

Podcast: The Guardian Long Reads
Why Listen?: Time management is an obsession of the ambitious.  Sometimes though, we think (or hear/read) about a contrarian point of view that completely shifts our strategy.  Listen to this podcast if a) your time management hasn't made you any less stressed, or productive or b) you actually don't focus on time management and need to justify putting that whole thing off in general.

The Techniques were a Jamaican rocksteady group from the 60's. Rocksteady is essentially the pre-cursor to reggae, with R&B & jazz influences. It's nostalgic. It's goovy. You'd probably call it "that super chill music I Shazam'd at that speak-easy I found myself in on a Tuesday."
Notable Jams: Queen Majesty, It's You I Love, I Wish it Would Rain
